The band Chantry is a project born in 2005 out of Alessandro Monopoli's intention of founding a band able to create a very peculiar kind of music, with goth sounds in the prog metal style. It's this unique mixture of sound that laid the foundations for various projects, such as the first demo EP - curiously entitled July->Snow(Code) - which gained a very enthusiastic review on Metal Shock (Italy) and was hugely successful on the web. And then came the first LP "The Emancipation of Elizabeth", whose main features are the extremely personal touch and the accurate care of every detail. This entirely instrumental LP has sold very well through iTunes and earned critical raves:

The new Chantry's cd is called "Crystal" and follows the style of the previous one, this time with a complete set of songs with vocals. This particular section was took care of by Francesca Vernaccini, who, with her communicative ability, enriched both the tracks and the lyrics. Bass guiter has been played by Luca Esposito Mistichelli, a well knows North Italian Bass player.
